A leading Northern Ireland business is working with us to find a Finance Business Improvement Manager to work in its Belfast HQ on a 2 year FTC. We are looking for an innovative accountant with senior level experience to deliver business development and improvements which support the strategic planning and growth of the business.

The role will support business change and growth and could lead to further career opportunities. This role will partner with the finance team across the business areas which they are responsible for to deliver timely and insightful information which supports ongoing financial management of the business and they will be a key player in delivering best practice and efficient financial modelling and reporting which supports the strategic planning of the Group. 

The role will require self-discipline and drive to deliver efficiency improvements across all key finance processes including the use of digital tools and best practice financial modelling.

Responsibilities

  • Gain in depth understanding of business areas and key financial information required to support the senior management team in its management and strategic planning
  • Review current processes and financial models and identify areas for improvement with a focus on key processes including Business Planning, monthly Latest Best Estimates & cash flows and monthly Board Reporting
  • Implement consistent KPI and reporting packs 
  • Partner with the in-house finance technical innovation specialists to identify tools and products that can be utilised by the business to improve reporting and analysis
  • Bring forward and deliver innovative solutions to improve efficiency in business processes
  • Implement best practice financial modelling for certain key business models and areas

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)
  • Experience in a similar role with a focus on continuous improvement or innovation in a finance team
  • Proven ability to deliver financial modelling capturing a range of entities / business divisions
  • Excellent IT skills, especially in relation to Microsoft applications and Excel in particular
