Our UK leading client is currently looking to expand their growing finance team – this role is a fantastic opportunity to join a team of multi-disciplined professionals. Within this role you will be responsible for a portfolio of clients providing high quality accounting services while also developing client relationships. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant with significant experience to join one of the UKs top 10 Accounting Firms.
Taking responsibility for a client portfolio, serving as the primary point of contact for clients. Ensuring the accurate preparation of management accounts, VAT returns, and other tasks within established deadlines and budgets.
Collaborating effectively with corporate tax, accounting, advisory, and audit teams to meet year-end deliverables.
Cultivating strong internal relationships to provide clients with information on other RSM service lines that pertain to their business. Participating in Outsourcing Team meetings and promoting Outsourcing and the broader firm as an ambassador.
Sharing your knowledge and expertise with the team and actively participating in the development and coaching of junior team members in areas such as management reporting, VAT returns, and soft skills like communication and problem-solving.
Managing relationships with clients and third parties, consistently delivering exceptional client service and adeptly handling stakeholder management. This spans from initial client meetings and transition to liaising with key contacts and assisting in the evolution of the client's accounting system, as well as ongoing service delivery. This involves establishing trust, monitoring service standards, and implementing efficiencies and improvements.
Staying attuned to relevant financial targets and constraints and contributing to their achievement, while keeping the relevant Outsourcing Manager informed of progress.
Continuously identifying potential business opportunities and self-educating about RSM's markets and core client base.
Qualified accountant with ACCA (or ACA) certification, or an AAT qualified accountant with substantial post-qualification experience. Candidates without formal qualifications but possessing significant experience (PQ candidates) will also be considered.
Exceptional compliance skills while working independently, including knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.
Outstanding communication skills enabling the quick building of connections with client principals and colleagues.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft packages including Word, Outlook, and advanced Excel.
Proficiency in developing and nurturing robust client relationships to ensure their outsourcing requirements are satisfied.
Effective time management and organizational capabilities, with strict adherence to client reporting deadlines.
Demonstrated proficiency in managing multiple clients and deliverables simultaneously.
