Our client is looking for an experienced Audit professional to join their team – the successful candidate will have previous experience of carrying out assurance tasks and be qualified with a recognized accounting body (i.e. ACCA/ CIMA). Moreover the successful candidate will act as a subject matter expert for less experienced team members assisting as and when necessary with any queries and reviewing work to assure accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Play a significant role in Assurance teams that take on assignments, including potential leadership roles for the work that is done on-site.
- Make sure that every assignment is completed in accordance with the pre-assignment guidelines, and to complete every aspect of the assignment quickly, completely, and in accordance with the firm's procedures.
- Maintain the highest level of assurance quality, participate in internal and external quality assurance, and make sure that all actions are carried out in accordance with the firm's and the profession's standards.
- Notify the assignment manager right away of any difficulties following these instructions or any contentious issues found, along with a description of the issues and potential solutions.
- Serve as the client's daily point of contact and to always uphold the ideals of superb customer service.
- To continue to be aware of the company's publications and specialized services. Ensure added value to clients.
- Perform the firm's review and completion procedures before submitting the files for manager review, as well as to summarize the actual time spent on each assignment in comparison to the budget.
- Develop and maintain a high level of technical knowledge through appropriate reading and courses, as well as to satisfy professional CPD requirements.
Maintain training records conscientiously and to keep up to date with examination studies, as applicable.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions, and lend a hand when needed with student recruitment, training, and marketing initiatives.
- Stay informed about Health and Safety concerns within the company and to communicate any worries to the designated Health.
Essential Criteria
- Candidates must be qualified in ACA or ACCA or a similar field.
- Ability to perform tasks related to assurance in the past at the Assurance Manager's request.
- Proven client handling experience.
- Proven track record of producing high-caliber assurances.
- Desirable.
- Assurance experience from a practice background would be a distinct advantage.
- Assurance experience of Owner Manager Business clients would be advantageous.
- Background in the analytical review methodology is preferred.
