We are working with a leading global business that seeks to recruit an experienced Manager for its Dublin Consulting team.This will be a challenging role, where you will be a senior member of the team in a practice that focuses on areas such as:project and programme management, change management, process re-engineering / operational excellence, finance transformation, economic advisory, strategy and supply chain management.

The role is to contribute to and oversee the delivery of a variety of engagements, contribute to project team success on assignments, including dealing with client issues, and provide updates to the Partner. The successful candidate will be exposed to a variety of jobs, and will be given the opportunity to take ownership of specific projects. A second key aspect of the role at this level will be to support the business development initiatives of the team working to specific targets in this regard. A third aspect is to contribute to the overall management of the unit from a people, structure and process perspective. The role will provide an excellent prospect to build a long term and sustainable career.

Main responsibilities:

  • Supporting business development initiatives in line with agreed targets;

  • Supporting the management of the business unit;

  • Managing client and stakeholder expectations on an ongoing basis;

  • Working onsite with clients implementing programmes of change;

  • Overseeing the preparation of formal reports and report presentations;

  • Ensuring assigned projects and tasks meet required deadlines;

  • Overseeing industry research and thought leadership covering the key market sectors/target clients;

  • Supporting the consulting team in developing service lines for various sectors; and

  • Overseeing the preparation of proposals for new client work.

Minimum requirements:

  • Primary degree in a relevant discipline including: business, engineering, economics or a sector specific discipline – having achieved at least a 2.1 grade

  • 7 to 9 years’ experience with at least one year in a professional services firm

  • Experience of delivering large-scale projects, and transformation programmes

  • Strong understanding of market trends and dynamics in one or more of the following industries:health, life sciences, public sector, energy / utilities, telecoms, technology and higher education.

  • Proven experience of leading teams and projects for clients

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Leadership qualities

Desirable experience/qualifications:

  • Primary degree and Master’s degree desirable

  • Project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2 or PMP)

  • Lean Six Sigma qualification
