Our UK leading client is currently looking to expand their growing finance team – this role is a fantastic opportunity to join a team of multi-disciplined professionals. Within this role you will assist in the preparation and maintenance of client accounts, process purchase ledger invoices along with bank reconciliations and other ad-hoc financial tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Processing accounting records, encompassing the cash book, purchase ledger, sales ledger, and nominal ledger.

  • Compilation of bank reconciliations.

  • Arranging bank payments, transfers, and the banking of client receipts.

  • Communication with 3rd parties on behalf of clients.

  • Assisting with administrative tasks within the team.

  • Generation of accurate accounting records and completion of assigned tasks with meticulous attention to detail and quality.

  • Systematic and methodical approach to ensure all assignments are complete within assigned timeframes.

  • Understands and follows instructions (keen attention to detail).

  • Consistently delivering high-quality service to all clients.

  • Competence in working independently with minimal supervision.

Desirable Criteria;

  • Self-driven and organized. Able to plan own time ensuring deadlines are met.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal proficiency with the ability to communicate at all levels.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

  • A foundational grasp of accounting principles and systems, while not mandatory, is advantageous.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Initiative-driven approach to task completion and an inclination to suggest process improvements.

  • Able to work within a team in achieving common goals.

  • Awareness of client requirements and expectations, coupled with a prompt and clear professional approach to issue resolution.

  • GCSE English and Maths or equivalent qualifications.
