The Role
We have partnered with one of Ireland's leading professional services firms to fill the role of Financial Advisory Services Manager. This role is a perfect fit for an experienced finance/audit professional to transition into an advisory role.
Key Responsibilities
Research and Craft Solutions for Complex Technical Accounting and Regulatory Challenges: Investigate and create solutions for intricate technical accounting and regulatory issues.
Stay Informed on Industry, Regulatory, and Accounting Changes: Stay up-to-date with changes in the industry, regulations, and accounting practices to proactively develop and present solutions to clients and potential clients.
Collaborate with Client Financial and Regulatory Reporting Teams: Partner with clients' financial and regulatory reporting teams to extract valuable insights from financial data and enhance reporting processes.
Lead in Providing Technical Support for Ad-Hoc Accounting and Regulatory Inquiries: Take charge of offering technical support for spontaneous accounting and regulatory questions from clients and cross-functional teams within the EMEIA region.
Guide Clients in Implementing New Accounting Standards and Regulatory Adjustments: Assist clients in adopting new or updated accounting standards, managing GAAP conversions, and navigating regulatory changes.
Lead the Planning, Execution, and Delivery of Engagements: Head engagements, including those that involve significant financial and accounting transformations or complex transactions within large finance departments.
Mentor Junior Team Members and Serve as a Key Contact for Senior Leadership: Effectively mentor junior team members, offering guidance and acting as the primary liaison with senior leaders.
Harness Technology for Continuous Learning, Knowledge Sharing, and Improved Service Delivery: Utilize technology to facilitate ongoing learning, share knowledge with colleagues, and enhance the delivery of services.
Establish Robust Internal Relationships within Assurance and Across Supported Service Lines: Cultivate strong internal relationships within the Assurance department and among the various service lines we collaborate with and support.
Ideal Candidate
Undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting and/or other appropriate academic major (including Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance);
ACA or ACCA certification
A minimum of 5 years of experience as an auditor for a public accounting firm, and/or industry experience within banking, aircraft leasing, wealth and asset management or insurance
Excellent project management skills including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
