Our client is currently searching for a motivated candidate with experience within the finance sector to join their outsourcing department. The successful candidate will report to the Management Accounting Team lead and be tasked with a range of different management accounting duties to assist the clients recently established new large corporate centre in Belfast. The ideal candidate will be one with experience within a finance shared services environment with industry experience working with Microsoft packages and accounting software such as NetSuite ERP. Moreover, the candidate will have experience preparing documentation and VAT returns for review my senior managers along with experience in supporting both external and internal audit preparation.

 

 

Role requirements & Responsibilities

  • Operational management accounting

  • Prepares management accounting information for review by Management Accounting Lead

  • Bank reconciliations, liaising with the transaction processing team as required to resolve queries.

  • Identification of and preparation and posting of general ledger journals including accruals, prepayments, payroll journals, fixed assets journals and all other required GL adjustments;

  • Intercompany reconciliations.

  • Balance sheet reconciliations.

  • Collation of management accounting packs for review, including lead and supporting schedules.

  • Supporting client external audits by preparing audit files

  • Understands and adheres to GDPR guidelines when dealing with personal information

  • Preparation of VAT returns for review by Management Accounting Lead and GCVR team

  • Ensures effective controls are in place to maintain compliance with RSM Tax and Accounting policies and procedures.

  • Develops and maintains procedural documentation relevant to role for knowledge transfer protocols and takes part in passing knowledge onto new team members as required

  • Maintains strong internal controls and minimises risk.

  • Identifies changes in client expectations and highlights to line manager.
