Our client is currently looking for an experienced Project Manager with a background of project co-ordination/ management of large-scale projects in line with EIA regulations. The position will hold the responsibility for the everyday management of our clients EIA workstreams onshore on behalf of our client’s offshore wind projects. Presently this is composed of two large scale projects (c.700MW each) off the coasts of Ireland. The focus as part of the position will be to play a critical part role within the delivery of projects in line with the timeline of Commercial Operation by 2030.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage the delivery of onshore elements of the EIAR.

  • Supporting and assisting with the Offshore Environmental and Consents Manager along with the wider Offshore project team to deliver EIA.

  • Collect and maintain daily records of the Onshore EIA PM documents (i.e. risk log, action log, CLO register, project schedule etc.

  • Ensure regular project meetings and recording of minutes and agreed actions.

  • Maintain continuous planning and follow up of cost, time and programme.

  • Managing quality including attention to detail and accuracy, delivery of contracts on time and to the highest possible standards

  • Co-ordination of the onshore elements of the lead EIA consultant and 3rd party external consultants and surveyors

  • Ensure internal communication, co-operation and co-ordination between different staff members on project team with EIA consultant

  • Manage internal team input to EIA actions

  • Manage interface with engineering input into the Project Design Envelope

  • Review of EIA chapters for consistency

  • Manage onshore survey operations, logs, data and reports

  • Flexibility to travel to project site(s) as required

  • Manage any agreements with landowners for provision of access for surveys

  • Assisting Offshore Environmental & Consents Manager as required

 

Vital Criteria

  • Primary degree in a relevant Environmental, Planning, Science or Engineering discipline with a minimum 5 years of relevant post graduate experience.

  • Experience within EIA project co-ordination / management experience (developments or projects with multidisciplinary project teams) including managing internal and external specialists and sub-contractors.

  • Strong communication / interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with a number of different parties and stakeholders.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience of onshore infrastructure projects (e.g. renewable energy, road, rail, transmission infrastructure)

  • Project Management qualification

  • Experience participating in/delivering EIA or planning projects within timescale/budget constraints Experience engaging with landowners for access to lands

  • Understanding of overall project development

  • Experience of GIS software

  • Full, clean driving license
