Our client is currently searching for an experienced Finance Management candidate to join their rapidly expanding Outsourcing division based in Belfast, operating within the areas of Operational Finance, Bookkeeping and Payroll. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role within the Belfast leadership team building and leading a highly effective Finance team delivering a quality service to clients. Moreover, the successful candidate will be comfortable communicating with multiple stakeholders both inside and outside of the business to advise on the timely and accurate completion of client workstreams.
Manages multiple internal client stakeholders who all insist that their client is the main priority;
Understand the importance of deadlines and the ability to communicate the importance within the team;
Uses a variety of communication methods, both written and verbal to ensure stakeholders are kept fully informed of progress on service delivery, raising risks and issues on a timely basis;
Creates a strong team identity, establishing a ‘right first time’ culture through developing and setting key performance indicators for quality, timeliness and cost;
Identify training needs, considering feedback from others, to develop training and development plans for team members;
Leads the team to ensure all work is completed in a timely manner and adhering to specific client deadlines;
Responsible for client transitions into the team, gaining in depth knowledge of client and stabilizing the processes. Point of escalation for both internal and external stakeholders/teams;
Reviews and approves the work of the Operational Finance team, documenting rejections/processing errors and ensuring these resolved/corrected promptly with training delivered as appropriate;
Develops the skills, knowledge, and experience of the Operational Finance team.
Manages the development and maintenance of procedural documentation relevant to the Finance team for knowledge transfer protocols;
Actively looks for opportunities to increase and expand their own knowledge base and that of the team through research, on the job training and participation in continuous improvement projects;
8 years’ experience within an operational finance role;
Experience in managing high volume transactional work preferably within a shared service or multi-jurisdictional setting;
ERP experience preferred (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Sage etc);
Strong decision maker, can influence using reasoned arguments;
Ability to recognize client issues quickly, and proactively respond with a resolution;
Strong commercial acumen, can establish budgets, fees and billing schedules, ensuring profitability and ensuring that the team achieve targets set;
Experience in developing, setting and measuring against KPI’s;
Highly developed client service skills.
