We are looking for a Senior Program Director for a 6+ months contract role with a leading global consulting firm.

Their capabilities stretch across a number of Service Areas including; Financial Crime, Customer Management, Compliance Testing, PMO, Legal Operations, Finance Solutions, Business Operations, Change Solutions and Technology Solutions. They have over 2,000 people located in their purpose built, secure delivery centre and across the UK

This individual will be highly motivated and driven with strong communication and operational skills. They will also have a keen understanding of running significant large scale complex operations and budgets. Alongside utilising technology to drive best practice and improve outputs in terms of productivity. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead large strategic delivery programmes from inception to completion

  • Providing oversight of multiple programmes, sometime acting as a second chair to provide a constant review of high risk or challenging programmes of work.

  • Coach less experienced staff on the nuances of delivery and client facing interactions, helping them to understand the motivations and pain points of clients and stakeholders.

  • Mentor junior staff, helping them to be better, sooner that would be the case if they had to learn all the lessons through direct experience

  • Contribute to the continued development of delivery architecture and infrastructure, always thinking about core delivery and the art of the possible.

  • Providing off-line leadership of senior colleagues performing delivery across Operate, being a sounding board or facilitator for general delivery discussions.

  • Provide a balance of experience and energy to a new organisation with a growing population of internally developed senior leadership.

Experience required

  • 10+ experience of running a large, complex operation. Including expertise in leading and improving Multi-disciplinary processes - both short term engagements and long term annuity contracts.

  • Experienced in managing large complex budgets, managing revenue streams, cost effectiveness and a clear understanding and background in value based financial and investment decision making.

  • Demonstrable evidence of transforming operations, bringing in new technology and/or operational thinking to radically improve output in terms of productivity, quality, timeliness and regulatory compliance. A reputation for creating innovative solutions, solving complex problems and recovering “lost causes”.

  • An operations heavy career path leading to senior and executive roles including multi-site, multi-jurisdiction operations, including the leadership and management of off-shore operations/sites. 

  • An honest, transparent and credible individual able to build and maintain professional relationships from c suite down.

  • Experience in leveraging operational data to drive improvement decisions and reporting e.g. areas such as task and process mining.

  • A passion for building and maintaining long term trusted client relationships and an ability to seek potential for added business value. 

  • Proven experience of designing and driving an organisational structure and service delivery methodology that creates leverage and scale.

Desirable Skills

  • An exemplar that others can learn from and develop towards, combining strong team ethics with an ability to coach and mentor colleagues to achieve outstanding results

  • A very clear understanding of the intricacies of managed services, either as supplier or client. Able to demonstrate sensitivity in balancing competing agendas. Alongside, proven experience of winning and adding value to client mandates. 

  • Proven experience and developed understanding of large-scale transitions with TUPE, OBOT models, steady state and CI.
