We are working with a leading global consulting firm that seeks an experienced Supply Chain and Operations Consultant to join its Belfast office as a Senior Manager. This role would work with some of the most significant organisations in the world within a practice that seeks to optimise and strengthen strategic performance and resilience of their client’s supply chains and manufacturing operations.
This position is at the forefront of shaping Industry 4.0 Manufacturing leading practices. As a Senior Manager, you would balance client, business development, operational and people leadership. You will advise and support global Supply Chain, Technology and Manufacturing leaders to define and deliver breakthroughs in performance through Industry 4.0 digital Manufacturing programmes. Key responsibilities include:
Partner with manufacturing digitisation leaders to develop strategy, framework, standards and governance in support of Industry 4.0 initiatives
Manage the delivery of Industry 4.0 projects and programmes
Develop technical requirements, reference architectures and specifications for digital manufacturing solutions in order to ensure consistent approach
Drive Proof-of-Value efforts to determine digital solutions that eliminate manufacturing losses
Spearhead the technical design, development, validation and operationalization of digital solutions
Align closely with security and OT teams to ensure implementations meet security requirements
Engineer solutions to ensure scalability and reliability based on requirements and sizing
Integrate solutions with systems and third-party software both on premise or in the cloud

Typically, Senior Managers bring a depth of experience from either a professional services or industry background where you have developed your Manufacturing experience (including Lean), project and programme management. You will understand Industry 4.0 systems landscape and technology standards in a typical factory, and bring experience of leading digital technologies such as: Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES); Connected Workforce Platform (CWP); Condition Monitoring Systems (CMS); Machine Vision Systems (MVS); Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Our Senior Managers are required to possess strong experience in Manufacturing and Industry 4.0 design and programme implementation leadership, designing highly available applications with responsibility for infrastructure robustness. You will be able to effectively communicate designs and decisions to peers, clients and management, and engage internal and external stakeholders.
Ideally, you will also have IoT understanding from connectivity and data management perspective, experience implementing IoT and analytics services and capabilities, and working with applications backed by cloud service. You may have familiarity with Agile and DevOps, or prior experience using application integration or SOA design patterns.
