We are working with a Top 10 professional firm, and they are seeking an experienced IT Audit Manager to join their team based in Dublin. The ideal candidate will have previous experience within an Accountancy/Financial Services firm managing and training IT Auditors while also managing a portfolio of IT Audit clients. The role will have a focus on internal IT Audits and as such the successful candidate will have experience in conducting/ supporting IT Internal Audits.

 

Responsibilities;

  • Managing a portfolio of internal IT audits of varying size, scope and complexity – primarily public sector and financial services  

  • Creating audit plans and defining the scope of audits for clients for whom we provide outsourced or co-sourced internal audit services.

  • Supervising fieldwork, providing guidance and oversight to junior staff members.

  • Reviewing working papers to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Crafting comprehensive audit reports that include findings and recommendations.

  • Collaborating with audit staff and client management to address audit-related matters.

  • Upholding quality standards throughout the audit process.

  • Serving as a member of the IT audit management team and contributing to team growth and development.

  • Participating in the development and training initiatives for IT audit staff.

  • Contributing to the enhancement of our internal IT audit methodology.

 

Ideal Candidate;

  • Minimum 5 years experience in IT auditing within an audit/accountancy firm.

  • Previous experience conducting internal IT audits.

  • Prior experience in managing internal IT audit teams.

  • Possession of a degree in audit, accounting, IT, engineering, security, or a related field.

  • Holding a recognized IT audit qualification such as CISA, CISM, or equivalent.

  • Proficiency in cyber security standards such as NIST, ISO27001, NIS-D, etc.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of various technologies including applications, infrastructure, networking, and IT management controls.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Strong project management capabilities.

 

 

Preferred but not essential;

  • ISAE3042/ SSAE16/ Soc 1 and 2 audit experience

  • Knowledge and experience in audit interrogation tools (ACL, IDEA, Alteryx etc.)

  • Financial services experience

  • Irish public sector experience

  • A technical qualification in cyber security, networking or infrastructure or similar
